Important Notice to all Members Regarding COVID-19

Based on the recent developments regarding the COVID-19 virus, the SIU Canada will be closing all Union Halls and the Medical Plan office for at least a two-week period beginning tomorrow, March 16, 2020. Please do not travel to the Halls so we can avoid the spread of any illness. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but we must do all we can to prevent the spread of this virus. All Halls will operate according to the National Shipping guidelines holiday/weekend shipping. In order to register to ship out, please contact a dispatcher at your local Hall who will put your name on a list to ship out. You will only need to call in once during this closure, and your name will stay on the list for as long as the Halls remain closed. Dues should be sent via cheque or money order through the mail to the SIU Records Department at 9300 Henri-Bourassa West, Suite 280, St-Laurent, QC H4S 1L5. If a delay is needed, dues will be dealt on a case by case basis. We will contact Members via email, Facebook and our website to provide further updates regarding the status of the Union Halls. Thank you for your understanding, and as we have mentioned previously, please take all of the suggested precautions and follow advice from the national and global health centres to protect yourself and others from the spread of the COVID-19 Virus.
